Cork City apologise to season tickets holders

Cork City today issued a statement on the club’s season tickets, after issues arose at Friday night’s home opener against Galway United, a game City won by four goals to nil.

Here is the full statement;

“Due to a technical issue, a number of season tickets presented at last Friday’s game did not scan.”

“The season tickets were held back by scanning staff and returned to the club office. Following checks, the cause of this fault has been identified and the tickets will need to be reprinted.”

“It is expected that all tickets will be reprinted by Wednesday, and these will then be posted out to the season ticket holders affected.”

“Unfortunately, some season ticket holders who did not attend last Friday’s game may be affected by this issue when they present their season ticket cards for scanning at next week’s game against Sligo Rovers.”

“In line with the procedure implemented last Friday, these tickets will be taken by scanning staff and returned to the club for reprinting.”

“The club would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue.”
