Wexford Manager Damian Locke said they were plenty of positives to take out of their defeat to Athlone Town on Friday night.
“Obviously we are all very disappointed with the result as we dominated for long periods of the game.”
“I was certain we were going to get the second goal after Ricky scored with 30minutes left but fair play to Athlone they play to their strengths really well.”
“I am looking forward to seen the reaction in training this week to our first defeat.”
“Analysing the performance there are a lot of positives to build on with this new group of players.”
With one point from two games, Locke will be hoping for a positive result next weekend when they travel to face Pat Devlin’s Cabinteely in Stradbrook.
