Kurtis Byrne scored yet another wonder-goal for St Patrick’s Athletic as they came from a goal down to take a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw with high-flying Bray Wanderers on Friday night.
Ryan Brennan scored with a header on 24 minutes to put the sea-suffers in front, but Byrne equalised just after half-time when he struck a half-volley from all of 20 yards out.
Byrne spoke to us after the game, and he said “First half we didn’t play well at all, we couldn’t get out of our own half.”
“I thought in the second half we were much better and scoring straight after half time helped. And we should have won it in the end.”
When asked about how things have gone this season Byrne said, “Regarding the season we can only look ahead now and put the bad results behind us we are more than capable than climbing the table.”
