Two Sligo Rovers players, Tobi Adebayo-Rowling and Matthew Stevens, have been found in breach of club discipline after a sexually explicit video featuring both players has been circulating on social media over the past few days.
We have been informed that Stevens player has left the club, but that Adebayo-Rowling remains. However, that has yet to be confirmed by the club.
theleagueofireland.com contacted Sligo Rovers for comment, but the club has of yet not replied to our request.
It’s a big blow to the Bitored, and their new manager Gerard Lyttle. Adebayo-Rowling was named the club’s Player of the year in 2016. Stevens had been on-loan from Peterborough United, but that’s now been cut short.
It remains to be seen what happens to Adebayo-Rowling. He wasn’t named in the team for tonight’s game against St Patrick’s Athletic, nor was he named on the bench. However it looks like he’s played his last game for the club
