City boss Caulfield wary of Sligo

Even though they hammered Drogheda United by 5 goals to nil on Friday night, Cork City boss John Caulfield feels that the trip to the Showgrounds tomorrow evening will be extremely awkward.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, John Caulfield said: “Sligo has always been an awkward game for us and they have very good home form. Sligo are one of those teams who are always exceptionally strong at home.”

“Gerard Lyttle has taken over, and every time a new manager comes in to a team it always gives them a lift. They have some very good players with the likes of Sadlier and Russell in midfield. It will be a difficult game for us and as I say every week is a different challenge for us”

With such a short turn around John Caulfield has spoke about the possibility of rotating the team if players aren’t up to full fitness.

On the injury front, Garry Buckley looks set to miss out through injury, while Gearóid Morrissey and Steven Beattie are doubts and will be assessed tomorrow.
