Charlton Athletic heading to Ireland to take on Limerick FC

Limerick FC have confirmed a friendly with English club Charlton Athletic for the Markets Field on Tuesday July 11th, with a kick-off time of 7.45.

Charlton are currently in League One, and finished last season in mid-table following their relegation from the Championship in 2016.

They are managed by former MK Dons boss Karl Robinson, and ex-Celtic player Tony Watt features in their current squad.

Charlton Athletic are owned by Belgian Millionaire Businessman Roland Duchâtelet. He owns five football clubs, Carl Zeiss Jena, Alcorcon, Sint-Truidense, Újpest and Charlton Athletic. He also owned  Belgian Pro League Standard Liege, but sold it in 2015.

Tickets for the game at the Markets Field are €10 for adults, and €5 for children.
