Sligo Rovers manager Gerard Lyttle cut a frustrated figure after Friday night’s defeat to Bohemians in Dalymount Park.
Goals early and late from Keith Ward and Dinny Corcoran gave the Gypsies a 2-0 win, but Lyttle thought the bit o’red deserved something from the game, “We played better but got nothing out of it. Two mistakes have cost us the game. We were the better team throughout.”
“Decisions haven’t went our way again like last weeks disallowed goal, as we should have had a penalty at 1-0.”
“We will stick together, look at the positives in the game and address the negatives, then move onto the next games.”
Sligo have made a couple of new signings however Lyttle said that they may not feature in their next match against Shamrock Rovers, “New signings might not be through in time for the Shamrock Rovers game. We’re trying hard to bring one or two others in as well.”
Lyttle was quick to thank the fans, and hopes they keep behind the team for the rest of the season, “We are all frustrated at present, but the fans were excellent again on Friday night, and it’s extremely important they stick with us and continue to get behind us.”
