Limerick have today announced the signing of New Zealand International winger Henry Cameron.
The 20 year-old has worked with new manager Neil McDonald before, during his time at English Championship side Blackpool.
Cameron has just returned from the recent U-20 FIFA World Cup, where he featured in two games, the opening draw with Vietnam and their second round defeat to the USA.
Listen to Limerick manager Miel McDonald talking about his new recruit;
Cameron said: “I was away with the Under-20s with New Zealand and the gaffer just called me up asking if I wanted to come, and the answer was yes straight away.”
“I enjoyed working with him at Blackpool and just wanted to work with him again.”
“I just got back from the Under-20 World Cup and that was a good experience – but hopefully if I kick on with Limerick I’ll get more opportunities for them.”
“I hope to just play as much as I can, score as many goals as I can and hopefully we can finish in the top three. That’s what the gaffer said the aim was this season.”
