‘Firstly I would like to thank Cork City and everyone involved with the club to be given the opportunity to play with such an amazing club that has made me feel like home. I’ve made so many memories that will live with me forever, from winning the FAI Cup to scoring a hat-trick in front of the shed end in the Europa League. And to the fans, I can’t put into words how good you e been to me over the past 18 months! It’s been so hard to hold in my emotions the past few games. I’ve been so overwhelmed with the reception I’ve received from you’s all. Thanks for everything. Cork City will always have a special place in my heart.’
He goes on then to talk about his new challenge in England with Championship club Preston, ‘Now I’m really looking forward to this new challenge with Preston North End and one I’m really excited for. Appreciate all the welcoming messages. I can’t wait to get going.’
