Ahead of the new League of Ireland season First Division side Limerick FC, relegated from the Premier Division in 2018, have announced some good new for their long-suffering supporters.
In a post on the clubs official Twitter account this evening it was confirmed that Limerick FC will be financially supported by a local consortium for the 2019 season. It was also confirmed that the same consortium will take over the club at the end of the season.
Limerick FC are pleased to announce that a local consortium have committed to financially supporting the club throughout the 2019 season .This support is to ensure financial stability going forward and to prepare the club for a mutually agreeable take over at the end of 2019.

Tommy Barrett’s side will open their season with a home fixture against Longford Town on February 22nd at the Markets Field.
