As the 2019 First Division campaign comes close to a conclusion Cobh Ramblers today confirmed that Interim manager Stuart Ashton, following the departure of Stephen Henderson in June, has been appointed as the clubs Head Coach on a 2-year deal.
Stuart joined the club as assistant manager to Henderson in 2017 and has remained at St Colman’s Park ever since. He previously managed the club for a period during the mid 1990s, following a spell playing with the club.
His background team of former Under 19 manager Declan Coleman, James Claffey and Shane Kavanagh will remain in place.
The club announced the news via a very novel video on Twitter, a fast-paced clip showing the new man driving to the ground to sign the deal;
