Difficult opening night for Hendo and his side as delay hurts their preparation

Little did Cobh Ramblers know that when they left Cobh on Friday that it would take 5 and a half hours, when it’s normally a 3 hour drive, for them to get to United Park in Drogheda. Their hired bus amazingly broke down on four separate occasions, three on the way up and once on the way home. Cobh Ramblers host Wexford on Friday night in a repeat of their opening day fixture, a game which finished in a controversial 1-1 draw. Leading through a goal from Dean Swords, Cobh kicked the ball out of play due to an injury to their captain Chris McCarthy (Kaka). Wexford, instead of returning the ball to Cobh played on and scored a 90th minute equaliser from Lee Duffy.
